The Stats – Millers v Baggies

|

Rotherham United couldn’t bring anything home from the Hawthorns last night losing the game two-nil – but what do those stats tell us?

West Brom had sixty-eight per cent of the possession and they got a better percentage in the duels the Millers winning thirty-five per cent in the air and having a thirty-eight per cent success rate in all duels.

There were nine corners in the game, Rotherham getting five of them while our passing accuracy came out at seventy-three per cent overall and fifty-seven per cent in our opponents half.

In attack we had twelve shots at goal, half of those from inside the box, with one on target while the Baggies had four on target from eleven shots.

We made eight tackles, Albion three more, our success rate being seventy-five per cent, twenty per cent more than the hosts. We conceded nine fouls, West Brom, four with the only yellow going to Rotherham.

I thought we fought a bit yesterday, especially in the second half – maybe their hackles had risen after that penalty decision just before half-time.  It’s just a matter now of doing our best and giving the fans something to think about for next season.
