Rotherham United defender Seb Revan told Radio Sheffield that although the away point on Saturday was good the team were disappointed not to get all three points.

Speaking after the one-all draw with Middlesbrough, the twenty year old loanee from Aston Villa said, ‘I think we had good tactics that we performed quite well and went ahead.

‘They started to put a lot of pressure on us but we defended well but it was disappointing not to get the win.

‘When a new manager comes in and sets out how he wants to play the whole team buys into it and the way he wants us to play is suiting us at the moment and we’re picking up points. Hopefully we can turn some of these draws into wins.

‘It’s no shock that we were struggling away from home but we’ve started to slowly turn that around and put in some good away performances. Hopefully we can build on our decent performances at home in away games.

‘It’s a good confidence booster that we are performing well against top teams. We’ve got some tough fixtures coming up but hopefully we can keep building on what we are doing and get some good results.’

Asked about his time as a Miller, Seb said, ‘I’m not a natural centre-back but I’ll play wherever the Gaffer puts me. I’m enjoying it and think I’m performing quite well. I can still improve but that will come with time. To play with two experienced pro’s (Sean Morrison and Lee Peltier) is amazing. They know what they are on about and help me both on and off the pitch giving me advice and support and it’s good to be working with them.’

It’s been fourteen months since the Millers got an away win with Seb saying it’s something the players don’t really think about saying, ‘we are always trying to improve, put in good performances and hopefully by doing that the results will take care of themselves.’
