With the Millers getting ready to play in League One, what happened to the players who last got us out of this league . . . .

Kari Arnason

Icelandic International Kari spent his Youth career with Vikingur in his home town of Reykjavik and after playing college football he signed for his first club in 2001 going on to play around fifty times for them. He then went on to spend two years with Swedish side Djurgardens before moving to Denmark in AFG Aarhus. 2009 saw him move to England with Plymouth Argyle before moving to Scotland with Aberdeen in the summer of 2011.

Kari joined the Millers in June 2012 going on to play over one hundred and thirty games scoring a handful of goals on the way his first one coming in League Two away at Fleetwood and his last one in our two-nil win away at Huddersfield in March 2015.

June 2015 saw Kari move back to Sweden with Malmo FF helping them to promotion in 2016 as captain.

After a bit of speculation that he might be coming back to the Millers, in January this year he moved to Cyprus to play for AC Omonia where he made eight appearances scoring twice.
