Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott has hinted that there could well be new signings in before the transfer window closes tomorrow.

Brett Williams has returned to Reading today and Chris Holroyd left last week to go to Preston North End so Scott will be looking to bring in a striker to fill the void.

Speaking to the Official Site, Scott said, ‘We are looking for options in that area, and hopefully we will have something before the close of the window, and we are working hard to do that.

‘We have got a few out so the squad is becoming more concentrated on what we want. We just need someone that will fit into the group that we have got and hopefully we will be able to create the chances like we did on Saturday, and be able to finish them.`

Speaking about Williams going back to the Royals, Scott said he had spoke to Reading Manager, Brian McDermott, saying, ‘ Brett’s situation was he was mainly featuring from the bench, and from our point of view we felt we needed someone who was going to push our front two a bit more. Brian understood that and they were happy for him to go back and they are looking to get him out on loan to somewhere where he will play more regularly.

‘We appreciate the fact that Reading loaned him to us in the first place, Brett was great to have around the place and we wish him well for the future.`
