Rotherham United fans were a bit bemused on Saturday at Dagenham when Mark Bradley was announced at right-back – after all, he was brought here as a midfielder.

But, apparently, the right-back position isn`t something new to the twenty-four year old and he told the Official Site, ‘When I was sixteen I played for Wales in the Victory Shield live on Sky against Northern Ireland at right-back. We played at Priestfield, Gillingham and we won three-nil. It was a decent game and I remember it well.`

Speaking after the loss on Saturday, Mark, whose first game it was since October due to a shoulder injury, said that he enjoyed the game, apart from the result.

‘It was great to be back after four months on the sidelines. If I`m truthful I didn`t expect to start but I was ready to play and delighted to get the nod.

‘I was a bit disappointed with the goals and felt unlucky to the credited with the second one. The first one came in between myself and Richard (Naylor) and looking back I thought I should have just cleared it, but overall and when I was on the ball I felt that did well.`

Asked if he fancied playing at right-back in the future, the former Walsall player said, ‘I guess it all depends on how I do, and if the manager is happy with my performances.`
