Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott, says that top striker, Adam Le Fondre will be with the Millers at the start of the season.
Alfie has been the subject of rumours all summer with various teams ‘supposed’ to have put bids in for him but Scott says, ‘There has been an offer but nowhere near our valuation of the player and it was a club that we don’t feel he’d have been happy with.’
Fed up with all the rumours, Scott said, ‘It’s inevitable that goalscorers attract attention but I’m sick of managers talking about my players and not talking to me or my chairman. If they’ve got the money, stump it up but it’s going to take a hell of an offer to let him go from this football club.
‘He’ll be here at the start of the season and hopefully here at the end and after that. Ever since I’ve been here Adam has given me everything and he’s fantastic to work with.’
