Rotherham United got out of the bottom three yesterday after the two-one win at Moss Rose and Manager, Mark Robins was delighted.

Speaking to the Official Site, Robins said, ‘The win was a psychological boost because we are now no longer in the bottom three, where we’ve been all season.’

Speaking about the first goalscorer, Dale Tonge, he said, ‘Dale deserved that goal, he’s done well since he got back into the side. It was good build up play and then an excellent finish.’

Ian Sharps got a second yellow card in injury time and his gaffer thought it was ‘petty’ by referee, Steve Cook. ‘I went to see the referee,’ Robins said, ‘and he said their player went to pick up the ball and Sharps kicked it away which warranted a booking. I thought it was petty and he will now miss the next game. But, there is nothing we can do.

‘The conditions contributed to a poor game but we got three points and, when we play poorly and still win, then you must be doing something right.’
