Rotherham United travel to Sixfields on Saturday to take on Northampton Town. The Millers and Cobblers have met thirty-five times in the League in the past with Rotherham winning fifteen of those to Northampton’s twelve.
Last time out at Sixfields the Cobblers won two-one. Chris Hackett scored the opening goal for the hosts on twenty-six minutes with Ben Pringle equalising three minutes before the break. A goal four minutes from time by Alex Nicholls gave the hosts all three points in this League Two encounter.
In October 2011 both sides got a point a piece at Sixfields. Gareth Evans gave the Millers a great start with a goal on two minutes only for a blooper from Millers’ ‘keeper, Conrad Logan, where the ball seemed to spin out of his hands, gave the home side an own goal and a point.
The last time the Millers won at Sixfields was in October 2000 where, for seventy-five minutes of the game they played with ten men, after Guy Branston got a second yellow card on fifteen minutes. Stuart Talbot got the only goal of the game on the half-hour mark.

The first time the two met was on Boxing Day 1962 at the County Ground. The game was a three-one win for the Millers with goals from Albert Bennett, Ian Butler and Brian Tiler.
The game in September at the New York Stadium was settled on the fifty-second minute with a goal from Kieffer Moore, giving the Millers a one-nil win.
