Rotherham Vital asked mighty_mariners, some questions before Grimsby visit Millmoor for our Johnstone’s Paint Trophy game on Tuesday evening.

1 What is your name and how long have you supported your team?
My name is Nathaniel Pidgeon and I have supported Grimsby Town for 25 years.

2 How do you think you will do this season?
I think we can start to turn our results around and we will just make the play-offs.

3 How do you think your team will line up against the Millers?
If Alan Buckley chooses his favourite formation it will be 4-5-1, with Isaiah Rankin playing the lone striker.

4 Who is your best player?
My best player would have to be Ciaron Toner, skilful player that plays well across the midfield.

5 Who is the best player you have ever seen at your club?
There has been a few good players I`ve seen for us but will have to go for our former keeper Danny Coyne, he was a good keeper.

6 Who would you glady do without!?
Having a small squad and all of them have their different talents it makes picking a player to do without slightly harder, so don`t have a player who we could do with out but if we continue to stay near the bottom of the league I would have to choose our manager Alan Buckley.

7 If there’s one thing you could change about your club, what would it be??
Our attendances, they have been low recently and are averaging 3,309, need more fans to come and get behind the club.

8 What is the best game you hae ever seen involving your club?
The best game would have to be our first trip to the old Wembley 1998 when we beat Bournemouth 2-1 in the Auto Windscreen Trophy.

9 Who is the best opposing team you hae ever seen?
That would have to be Newcastle in the third round of the league cup in 2005, with Given and Shearer playing at our ground and we only lost 1-0.

10 What is the best thing you have ever eaten/drunk at a football match?
Would have to be some mince pies I took to a game a few years ago, they were nice.

THANK YOU to mighty_mariners for taking time out to answer our questions.
