Rotherham United striker, Drewe Broughton has joined Lincoln City on a months emergency loan and is hoping to play in their game against Accrington Stanley this evening.

But, he made it clear in an interview with MillersPlayer that his job with the Millers is not yet finished.

‘Having gone through what we went through last season with the minus seventeen, I feally feel part of the set-up here,’ the thirty-one year old said. ‘The aim is that I go to Lincoln for a month, get myself match fit and then be back here for the important run-in in March and April. When you are trying to get over that finish line it’s a tough ask and this is a chance for me to be one hundred per cent fit when that happens.

‘But, it was a hard decision for me as I feel I’m not far away from getting back in the side. It’s been a frustrating season after getting injured in pre-season and only playing in reserve games now.

‘I know Chris Sutton, the Lincoln Manager, his dad was my Manager at Norwich and I used to look out for Chris in the first team. I’ve nearly signed for Lincoln two or three times over the years. Considering they were down to ten men after about ten minutes on Saturday they played some really good stuff. I think with the right results they could, by the end of the month, be safe and secure for next season.’
