Vital Rotherham United are sad to hear of the passing of former Miller Barry Webster.

After playing for both Sheffield FC and Gainsborough Trinity, forward Barry played for the Millers from 1956 until 1962 making over one hundred and seventy appearances and scoring a goal in the first ever League Cup Final against Aston Villa. This game was over two legs and the Millers win two-nil at Millmoor but losing at Villa Park in extra time. Another of Barry’s goals came in an FA Cup draw with Arsenal at Highbury.

From Rotherham Barry went on to play for Bradford City and Buxton.

We send our condolences to Barry’s family and friends at this sad time.
