Rotherham United welcome MK Dons to the New York Stadium on Saturday when the referee is Marc Edwards who is in his third season as a Football League referee.

This is just the third time Marc and the Millers have met the first time was in October 2019 in a Football League Trophy game when Doncaster Rovers were the visitors in Rotherham. Rotherham went in front thanks to an own goal from Joe Wright on eleven minutes with Kieran Sadlier, then with Rovers, equalising. Wright scored in the correct goal nine minutes into the second half but Carlton Morris and Trevor Clarke gave the hosts a three-two win. There were no cards in the game.

The last time we met Marc was his first outing of the season in August when he was in the middle for our South Yorkshire derby with Sheffield Wednesday at the New York Stadium. The game was a two-nil win for the visitors goals coming from Florian Kamberi and Lee Gregory with Kieran Sadlier missing a penalty for Rotherham. That day he booked five players the only one for the hosts being Ollie Rathbone.

In the twenty games Marc has officiated in this season he has shown sixty-four yellow cards and just one red card.

Running the lines on Saturday we have David Avent and Paul Newhouse and the Fourth Official is Ross Joyce.
