Rotherham United defender Lee Peltier has signed a new deal today.

The thirty-six year old has put pen to paper to sign a one year deal, subject to EFL and FA ratification.

Pelts joined the Millers last summer and played thirty-six times in all competitions, his only goal coming away at Reading. He also had a spell as player/caretaker manager alongside the departed Richard Wood when Paul Warne left the club.

‘I’m delighted,’ Lee told iFollow after signing the new deal. ‘I thoroughly enjoyed last year and played a lot with the manager putting a lot of faith in me. We have a great relationship, he’s been terrific since he came in as have the coaching staff he’s got with him. And I wouldn’t sign a deal if I didn’t think I had anything to give the team. I’m a competitor and when I’m out on the pitch I like to think I can compete. The moment I can’t do that will be when I stop playing football. We had a great dressing room last year, a great spirit and I think that’s one of the reasons we managed to stay up so we will be looking for more of that this year.’
