Rotherham United will go into this game hoping to get their second away win of the season while Rochdale will be hoping to keep this their fourth clean league sheet in a row.
Both sides were at home during the week in the Checkatrade Trophy with Rochdale losing out on penalties to a Stoke City U21 side and the Millers losing out to a last minute goal against Chesterfield
The Millers last away game saw them lose two-nil at Blackburn with Dale’s game at home to AFC Wimbledon ending goalless.
Vital Quotes:
Keith Hill – The players are showing signs of togetherness and team spirit and we’re fighting and as long as we do that we’ll definitely become successful.
Paul Warne – Rochdale are defensively astute and I think if we are to get a positive result then we’re going to have to keep a clean sheet. They aren’t going to be an easy team to break apart and we are going to have to be patient on the ball.
Rochdale Team News:
Keith Hill will probably start with the same eleven who kept a clean sheet last time out. They will be without long term injured midfield Keith Keane
Player to watch: Steve Davies
Will want to get back on the goal scoring trail this afternoon
Rotherham United Team News:
Paul Warne will again be without winger Jon Taylor who is out with a knee injury and although David Ball played some part on Tuesday night he could do with more time before coming into the first team. The Millers will also be without defender Ben Purrington whose hamstring injury looks like keeping him out for another month. Most of those who started the win over Northampton last weekend will probably be in the starting line-up today
Player to watch: Richie Towell
As well as finding the net himself midfielder Richie is good at getting crosses for others into the box
