Rotherham United are thought to be one of the teams taking a look at Middlesbrough’s attacking midfielder Lewis Wing.

Twenty-three year old Wing joined ‘Boro in the summer of 2017 and made two appearances in the EFL Cup plus another in the Football League Trophy before he joined Yeovil on loan in January 2018. Lewis went on to make over twenty appearances for Yeovil scoring three goals.

This season, as well as playing in cup games, he has played six Championship games for ‘Boro and last month signed a new deal at the Riverside which will keep him there until the end of the 2021/22 season.

The Football League Transfer Centre says that the likes of Preston North End and Millwall could also be thinking of making a bid for the midfielder when the January Transfer Window opens but it seems that if Middlesbrough get into the semi-final of the Carabao Cup they will be very reluctant to let Wing leave.
