Rotherham United have been drawn at home against Sheffield Wednesday or Bury after beating Shrewsbury at the Montgomery Waters Meadow Stadium by four goals to nil earlier this evening.

The game between Bury and the Owls was suspended and so really we still don’t officially know who we will be playing – but I think we have a good idea.

The game will take place the week commencing 26th August.

Rotherham United got through to the second round last season after a three-one home win over Wigan Athletic which saw them get a trip to Premier League side Everton. Gylfi Sigurdsson opened the scoring for the Toffees on twenty-eight minutes with Dominic Calvert-Lewis making it two just after the hour mark. Will Vaulks made it two-one with a goal followed by his trademark back flip goal celebration but Calvert-Lewis made it three-one to Everton and a home game tie against Southampton.
