Millers After Potters’ Defender?

|

Rotherham United are thought to be interested in centre-back Liam Lindsay.

The Glasgow born player is currently on the books with Stoke City where he moved in June 2019 from Rotherham’s South Yorkshire neighbours Barnsley.

Coming through the Youth system at the Firhill Stadium with Partick Thistle he played more than eighty times for the Scottish Premiership side before moving to Oakwell and playing for two seasons with Barnsley. He made twenty-three appearances for Stoke City last season but hasn’t played at all this season.

The Sun’s Alan Nixon has tweeted that he thinks getting the defender on loan would work for both him and the Millers.

Well, us, the fans, have been saying on social media that we need a defender. Is Lindsay the one? He might well be but there will be others after him, one probably being Blackburn Rovers who are thought to have been after him when he went to the bet365 Stadium.
