Rotherham United have added to the squad by signing Andy Rinomhota from Cardiff City – subject to EFL and FA ratification and international clearance – on loan until the end of the season.

The midfielder began his footballing career with Hampshire side AFC Portchester before a trial with Reading led to him joining their Youth squad in 2015. Andy played for the Royals U21 and U23 sides before playing two games for the Reading first team in the League Cup his first Championship game coming in September 2018 away at Preston, his first goal coming later that season away at Norwich City. He went on to play more than ninety games for Reading, including one at the New York Stadium, before joining Cardiff City in the summer of 2022. Andy has made forty-eight appearance for City, seven of those this season.

The twenty-six year old got his first cap for Zimbabwe earlier this season starting in a World Cup game against Nigeria in November.

All at Vital Rotherham welcome Andy to the New York Stadium.
