How Are Our Loaned In Players Doing

|

Rotherham United have got four loan players at the moment – but how are they doing?

The first player to make their loan move to the Millers was Dexter Lembikisa who joined on 27 July from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The young defender made his debut off the bench in our first game away at Stoke by which time the damage was done. He started in the Carabao Cup penalty win at home to Morecambe and started every league game since. He’s quick, a good ball player and scored a cracker of a goal in our two-one home win against Norwich City.

On on his heels came forward Fred Onyedinma from newly promoted Luton Town. He also made his debut away at Stoke in the first game playing seventy-nine minutes. He came off the bench in the Carabao Cup game scoring the penalty that saw us through to Round Two. His first goal from open play came in our two-all home draw with Blackburn Rovers where he was booked for ‘over celebrating’ and was booked two minutes later – well answers on a postcard. His second goal was the equaliser at home to Leicester City and he’s played in two more games making it six appearances for the Millers.

Midfielder Arvin Appiah was next in the door at the New York Stadium coming on loan from Almeria on 25th August. The winger made his debut coming off the bench in the Leicester City game and played just short on an hour in the Carabao Cup match at Stoke He was an unused sub in our last game.

The last loanee to come to Rotherham is twenty year old Sebastian Revan who arrived late on the final day of the transfer window, the day after helping his parent club Aston Villa to a three-nil Europa Conference League win. The defender has yet to play a game for the Millers.

So to answer the question ‘how are our loaned in players doing?’ I think they’re doing pretty well, don’t you?
