Rotherham United welcome Hull City for their second visit to the New York Stadium.
December 2015 saw Hull in town last and after Moses Odubajo tripped Kirk Broadfoot in the area on twenty-eight minutes Lee Frecklington duly put the resulting penalty away with a Joe Newell goal in the second half giving the Millers their first win in four games.
The time before that was a Division Three game at Millmoor in March 2000. The game was a three-nil win for the hosts with all the goals coming in ten minutes of the second half. Brian Wilsterman opened the scoring on seventy-four minutes with Leo Fortune-West doubling the score two minutes later. A third from Paul Warne on eighty-four minutes gave the Millers all three points.

The season before the Millers won three-one at Millmoor. Vance Warner, Jason White and Lee Glover scored for the hosts after David D’Auria had opened the scoring for the visitors on six minutes. The only booking of the day was to Hull’s Neil Whitworth.
Christmas 1997 saw Lee Glover score four goals at Millmoor against the Tigers. He opened the scoring on twenty-one minutes with Scott Taylor making it two-nil four minutes later. Duane Darby pulled one back for Hull but three goals in the second half for Glover saw the Millers make it five-one. But City did fight back and Glyn Hodges scored two in two minutes followed by a second for Darby on seventy-two minutes making it a very nervous final ten minutes or so for the Millers but they did manage to hold out for a five-four win.
The last time Hull beat the Millers on Rotherham soil was a Tuesday night in February 1993 when both were in Division Two with City scoring the only goal of the game.
