Rotherham United welcome Lincoln City to the New York Stadium for what will be their first league visit although they have played here in the EFL Cup in 2017 which was a two-one win for the hosts.
The last time the Millers and Imps met in the league was the first game of the season when Rotherham were playing at Don Valley. Adam Le Fondre gave the hosts an eighth minute lead but a goal seven minutes into the second half from Mustapha Carayol made it one-one. With two minutes to go up popped Ryan Cresswell to get all three points for the Millers.
The Imps were also Rotherham’s opponents for their first ever league game at Don Valley in August 2009 when a Reuben Reid goal a minute before the half-time break gave the Millers a one-nil win.
The last time the pair met at Millmoor was in February 2008 in League Two. The Imps went in front on the twenty-fifth minute with a Louis Dodds goal but a stunning volley from Marc Joseph got an equaliser ten minutes later. Mark Stallard lashed out at Joseph on sixty-four minutes and saw a straight red with a minute later Mark Hudson put the hosts in front with Marc Newsham making it three-one nine minutes later before Ben Wright made it three-two three minutes from time.
The first ever game between the pair at Millmoor was in 1920 when Coe, Glennon and E Harrison gave the Millers a three-nil victory.
