Rotherham United travel to Carrow Road for their next away fixture where they will take on Norwich City.
Easter Monday 2023 was the last time the pair met in Norwich when the hosts needed a win to get into the play-off spots and the Millers needed something to keep the hope of staying up alive. Rotherham were the more pleased when the game ended goalless.
February 2021 also saw Rotherham were on Norwich soil when Teemu Pukki scored the only goal of the game on seventeen minutes. The Millers had a Clark Robertson goal disallowed and Lewis Wing and Ben Wiles both hit the post while Matt Crooks saw a certain goal blocked just before it crossed the line.
The Millers were at Carrow Road was in December 2018 when Richie Towell gave the visitors the lead on eleven minutes. Unfortunately for Rotherham second half goals from Tod Cantwell, Max Aarons and Teemu Pukki gave Norwich all three points and back into top place in the Championship.
October 2015 saw Wes Hoolahan put the hosts in front on seventeen minutes with Cameron Jerome doubling the lead twenty minutes into the second half. Dexter Blackstock brought Rotherham back into the game with a goal on the seventy-fourth minute but a minute from time Steven Naismith made it three-one to Norwich.
Before that the pair met at Carrow Road in October 2014 when the game ended one-one. A Paul Green penalty, after goalkeeper John Ruddy sent Matt Derbyshire sprawling in the box, gave the Millers the lead on the stroke of half-time. Cameron Jerome scored the equaliser on seventy-seven minutes.
The last time the Millers won at Carrow Road was in April 1966 when both teams were in the Old Division Two. Frank Casper scored both goals for the visitors.
The teams first met at Carrow Road on Bonfire Night in 1960 when a goal for the Millers for Brian Sawyer couldn’t stop the Canaries winning three-one.
The game at the New York Stadium in September saw goals from Dexter Lembikisa and Jordan Hugill give the hosts a two-nil lead going in at half-time. Christian Fassnacht halved the lead five minutes into the second half but the Millers held on for their first win of the season.
