Millers Match Zone

Gaffer Proud Of The Lads

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne told Radio Sheffield that his team ‘deserved’ their win against Ipswich Town tonight and looked the most effective team for eighty-five minutes.

The Millers created more chances than their hosts and perhaps should have had another couple of goals with comments coming from the reporter of Sky News that Rotherham looked more like league leaders than the Tractor Boys.

‘After our disappointing performance on Saturday (the Millers lost two-one at home to Oxford) tonight was a good test of our character,’ the Gaffer said. ‘I’m proud of them all.’

I do think that Matt Crooks and Michael Smith play well together and it sounded like Jamie Lindsay was all over the place this evening. Trevor Clarke did well on his debut and Chie Ogbene came off the bench and made an impact.

It really was a team effort tonight and the clean sheet is an added bonus.

Now, on to Saturday when Wycombe Wanderers are the visitors to the New York Stadium.
