Rotherham United winger Anthony Forde has joined fellow League One side Oxford United today on a two-year contract.
The now twenty-five-year-old came through the Academy with Wolverhampton Wanderers making his first-team debut in the League Cup in August 2011 and his Premier League debut three months later. He spent the last couple of months of the 2012/13 season on loan with Scunthorpe United making eight appearances.
The following season he made just a handful of appearances for Wolves mostly from the subs bench and in August 2014 signed a two year deal with Walsall scoring five times that season. The following season he helped the Saddlers to the League One Play-Off semi-finals but were beaten by Barnsley.
The summer of 2016 saw Anthony join the Millers on a three-year deal, his first goal coming in the League Cup game at home to Morecambe in August with him having to wait until the following February to get his first league goal in an away game at Brentford. His first home league goal came in September 2017 in the Millers five-one win over Oldham Athletic.
Last season he was in and out of the starting eleven although he did clock up thirty-one appearances to add to the eighty-three he had already made in a Rotherham shirt with his only goal coming away at Hull in February.
Earlier this month he decided not to agree to the offer that the club had put on the table and to leave to find his own club.
