Crooks Nominated For January Award

Rotherham United midfielder Matt Crooks has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player Of The Month Award for January.

Matt played in five games last month scoring three goals – two against Stoke in our three-three draw at home and the other in our three-nil win away at Middlesbrough.

The writing up about the twenty-seven year old says Crooks’ technique can often be under-appreciated by the neutral, witness his low volley against Middlesbrough, one of three January goals he scored bursting from midfield to mark the anniversary of his friend Jordan Sinnott’s untimely death.

Also nominated are Harvey Elliott of Blackburn Rovers, Josh Laurent from Reading and Swansea City’s Jamal Lowe.
