Away First Game For Millers

Rotherham United start the 2023/4 season away at the bet365 Stadium when they take on Stoke City.

The first home league game of the season is on Saturday, 12th August when Blackburn Rovers are at the New York Stadium.

Boxing Day sees the Millers host Middlesbrough with Sunderland the visitors on the 29th December with a trip to Blackburn Rovers on New Years Day.

Relegated Leeds United are at the New York Stadium on Saturday, 25th November with the Millers going to Elland Road on 10th February. Saturday, 28th October has been pencilled in for a trip to Hillsborough  with the reverse fixture being on Saturday, 2nd March.

Of course, these games could always be changed.

Last time the Millers won a first game of the season was on 7th August 2021 when first half goals from Freddie Ladapo and Ben Wiles gave Rotherham all three points against Plymouth Argyle at the New York Stadium. Last season saw Swansea City at the Millers’ home which was a one-all draw.

The first games will take place between the 4th and 6th August with the Championship Play-Off Final being played at Wembley on Sunday, 26th May 2024.
