Those Stats – Millers v QPR

|

Rotherham United got a point at home against fellow strugglers Queens Park Rangers yesterday after going one down.

But what about those stats?

The Millers had forty-two per cent of possession with the aerial duels coming out equal at fifty per cent each. There were twelve corners in the game – six each.

Our passing accuracy in our opponents half came out at fifty-two per cent while Rangers’ was nine per cent better while our crossing accuracy was thirty-two per cent, which was twenty-three per cent better than our visitors.

In attack we had eight shots at goal, six of those from inside the box, of which three were on target while our opponents had four on target from eleven shots.

Our tackle success rate was fifty-six per cent, Rangers’ a couple of per cent better while we conceded ten fouls to their fourteen. Of the three yellow cards shown Rotherham got two of them.

It wasn’t a great game and I don’t think the rain helped but both goals were crackers in their own way. As a team we have to start fighting from the whistle. We shouldn’t have to get the ball then look up to see where someone is to pass it too – which was often backwards – they should know where a player is, or should, be. But it’s a point and, boy, do we need points.
