The Stats – Millers Away At QPR

Rotherham United got another point on the road on Saturday with a one-all draw against Queens Park Rangers.

But what do those stats tell us?

Firstly they told us, and to those watching/listening it will probably be no surprise, that Rangers had sixty-one per cent of possession. The Millers won forty-two per cent of the aerial duels with and had three of the twelve corners on the day. Our passing accuracy in our opponents half came out at fifty-seven per cent – seventy per cent over all, our crossing accuracy three per cent less than the hosts at twenty per cent.

Attack wise we had six shots at goal two of those on target with three of those shots being outside the box. Rangers had five shots on target from seventeen.

Both sides had thirteen tackles with both giving eleven fouls away. There were five yellow cards on Saturday afternoon, two of those going to the yellow and black shirted players of Rotherham.

I think it’s fair to say it was back to the walls for quite a lot of the game and I’d also like to say that our defence didn’t look as tight as they did against Preston on Tuesday night – but maybe I’m being too harsh?

But, we will take coming away with a point, it might have been worse – but it wasn’t!
