Smith Nominated For Award

Rotherham United striker Michael Smith has been nominated for January’s Sky Bet League One Player of the Month.

Smudge has scored twenty goals so far with five of those coming last month – four in the league and one in the Papa John’s Trophy – and is third in the League One top scorers.

He started his career with Darlington and has played for the likes of Charlton Athletic, Swindon Town and Portsmouth, plus various loan spells, joining the Millers from Bury in January 2018.

Michael already has one League One Player of the Month award this season which he won in October where he scored five goals and had two assists in five games.

Also nominated is Fleetwood’s Paddy Lane, Dean Lewington of MK Dons and Cole Stockton of Morecambe .
