RUFC Who’ll play where?

I said at the beginning of this window it was going to be a “slow burn” and it hasn`t been otherwise. In previous years we had signed 5-6 by the time the first new face arrived.
Today`s arrival of Kelle Roos from Derby begs the question of who will be No1? I think Scott Loach was brought in last year with a view to being our championship keeper; however, Evans was Loyal to Adam Collin and said the shirt had to be won. Who will start this term? If you`re Derby and sending a player out on loan to another championship side would you be happy for him to be on the bench? That still leave Scott Loach with us and he, I think, hasn`t featured in any of the friendly games so far.
Assuming Greg Halford is signed as a defender not a striker, we seem to have an abundance of quality to fit in to a back 4 if that`s what is planned. Thorpe and Rawson sound good to me but I don`t think some of the other signings will be here to warm the bench. I think Lewis Buxton could be one of the cutest signings so far. Versatile anywhere across the back with a desire to prove himself after injury. A one year contract with perhaps another on offer subject to meeting targets. On social media there are rumours that Preston are interested in Kirk Broadfoot, don`t know how true that is. I also read now that Ipswich, Fulham, QPR and we are interested in Luke Garbutt from Everton on loan. Again unfounded social media speculation. I think one defender will leave but wouldn`t like to guess. I can see much more mobility and speed at the back than last year.
In midfield Frecklington and Smallwood appear to be certainties to start but, who with? Grant Ward has impressed in the friendlies and looks to know where the goal is. White and Ledesma to add width but where then, Green and Danny Ward?
At the top of the field we have 3 where I believe we need 4! My big bug bear last year was the two we spent money on that were “projects”. A project for us last term should have been someone like Connor Newton or Kieran Agard before. A free transfer. I know SE said they were longer term developers but they must now be battering down the first team door and hitting the ground running this term. Which one would you pair with Derbyshire.
