News arrived earlier today of the signing of 6`5″ goalkeeper Kelle Roos from fellow championship side Derby County on a season long loan deal. The Dutch keeper has had previous spell at various clubs including PSV Eindhoven and Willem II in Holland as well as Nuneaton Town and Derby over here. He also represented his country at under 15 level.
The news of that arrival had barely begun to sink in when it was announced that Farrend Rawson had also returned to NYS on a loan until January. Farrend needs no introduction to Millers fans. He originally signed for us on 7th March this year and slipped seamlessly in to the heart of the defence against Huddersfield the same day. Indeed he went on to impress many throughout his initial loan period.
I think these two are really exciting signings and, depending on how Steve Evans sees things, a pairing of Thorpe and Rawson could prove an athletic and mobile centre back pairing.
All at Vital Millers offer a big welcome and good luck to both players
