Rotherham United goalkeeper, Andy Warrington, saved a penalty on Tuesday night but told Gerry Somerton of RotherFM that it meant nothing because of the loss.

Speaking after that two-nil defeat at Shrewsbury, Warrington said, ‘After the run we’ve been on it was bitterly disappointing and after the game you could see the disappoinment on the lads’ faces.

‘I don’t think there was much in the game to be honest, but we didn’t create many chance.

‘I was unsighted for the first goal. I tried to look round Nick Fenton’s right hand side and the lads hit it and it went into the corner. The second goal was going well wide and unfortunately it took a deflection of Nick but he couldn’t do anything about it, he couldn’t get out of the way. But you get them but unfortunately we didn’t get anything like that today.

‘It’s a game we will reflect on but we have to put it behind us now. We’ll get training and probably work on a few set pieces and hopefully we’ll be firing on all cylinders again on Saturday.’
