Rotherham United lost their first game since December yesterday when a second half goal gave Rochdale the one-nil win at the New York Stadium.

Obviously disappointed Millers Boss Paul Warne told Radio Sheffield, ‘The lads have been on an amazing run and I think we’ve scored in twenty-five games on the bounce so it was a disappointing day at the office.

‘I don’t think everyone was on song today and we had the goal just before half-time that was wrongly ruled out. I don’t think we got our passing game going today and we didn’t get wide enough quick enough.

‘But I think we came up against an excellent team whose position in the league doesn’t say how good they are. Me and Rich (Barker) watched them in mid-week and saw what a formidable team Rochdale are. They had a couple of good chances with good clearances from Fordey (Anthony Forde) and Woody (Richard Wood) in the first half and Marek (Rodak) was looking good at the back.

‘It was an athletic game and it’s a pity we were on the wrong side of it. I can’t see Rochdale being in the bottom four and unfortunately for us they were too much for us today and we didn’t have enough answers.

‘I appreciate that the fans stayed and kept with the team today. Now we’ve got to pick ourselves up and go again.’
