Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne said that no-one has a divine right to be handed a shirt at the New York Stadium.

Speaking to Andy Giddings of
Radio Sheffield Warney said, ‘I think David Ball was probably our best player during pre-season and if the team are winning without him it shows how strong the team is.

‘No-one has a divine right for a shirt here. Everyone knows the situation and knows how I work.’

Andy Giddings asked Warney about Kieffer Moore with the Millers Boss saying, ‘I liked him and I thought he was at an age when he needs to start playing. Since he’s been here he’s improving and I told him when I signed him that there wasn’t a guarantee he’d get any minutes but he’d get them if he deserved them and he was happy with that.

‘He’s come in and done really well and it’s the same with Jamie Proctor the other night. The fans appreciate big, physical centre-forwards who are prepared to run around and put their head there. Both of them did that so fair play to them.’

Kieffer came off the bench for the last twenty minutes of the game at Fleetwood by which time, to be fair, the damage had been done and he got a starting place on Tuesday night in the EFL Cup game against Lincoln and I, for what it’s worth, was quite impressed with him. I’d be surprised if he isn’t in Warney’s thoughts for the starting eleven on Saturday.
