Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says there are no ‘real superstars’ in his team as the Millers get ready to take on their South Yorkshire neighbours Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.

Speaking to iFOLLOW the Millers Boss said, ‘They are a really close group here. Obviously they get closer the more they win and they are on a really good run at the moment. They are determined to win every game.

‘When they have a dip, whenever that might be, I think they will dig themselves out of it.’

Asked how the group now compare to the group Warney himself was a part of with Rotherham, he said, ‘Well we were really close. But it wasn’t instantaneously that was done over time and the majority of the team stayed together for a few years.

‘I think if you can keep your players for two or three years they get stronger and you add to it. The players I’ve brought in here I’ve given long contracts to so next year it should be that the majority of those players are still here and will grow together and hopefully improve together.’

Meanwhile Rovers Manager Darren Ferguson told Doncaster Free Press that ‘they’ will need ‘their tin hats on’ on Saturday.

‘Any throw-in anywhere near thirty or forty yards, bang it`s in the box,’ said Ferguson. ‘They press and don’t like the other team getting a flow. And they will try to stop us competing. I’ve not seen a team play like this for a long time.’

Don’t know about anyone else but I raised my eyebrows in amusement when I read that little statement while saying to myself, ‘which team is it with six wins on the bounce?’
