Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says that he isn’t aggrieved that Peterborough got an equaliser in eight minutes of six minutes time added on.

And he’s right to say that because after the six minutes went up (where that came from in the first place I can’t really tell you – but I hope some of it didn’t come from Paul Raynor ‘messing about’ with the ball) Richie Towell had to be treated on the pitch before limping off.

‘The ref must have seen something he wanted to add,’ Warney told iFOLLOW.

‘Yes it was a last minute goal but we’ve been there and it’s just the way it is.

‘I thought we were the better team in the game, more dominant, more attempts at goal so to come in one-one is disappointing for the lads.

‘We had a lot of play but probably didn’t finish as well as we could but that’s not through lack of effort.

‘There’s no need to berate the lads, we just have to learn from it and hope it doesn’t happen again but we should have seen the game out for a victory. It does feel like we’ve dropped two points but I’m proud of the performance. The lads were always on the front foot, always putting balls into the box and played against a very good Peterborough side who we dominated from the first until probably the ninety-eighth minute.

‘Every game now is a big game for us and we want to win every game we can and have people leave here with a smile on their face. There’s a lot of points to play for and hopefully we can stay in the play-offs.’

We were the better team – although I’m not sure Steve Evans will say the same. And, yes, we had chances which we should have taken.

But’s that’s football.
