Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne thought his team deserved to come away with a point from a ‘scrappy’ Yorkshire derby at Valley Parade at the weekend.

After their one-nil win Bantams Manager Stuart McCall told Bradford’s Official Site that it was a ‘hard fought victory’.

‘How two of the highest scoring sides in the league have ended up playing out a one-nil game I don’t know,’ McCall said.

‘Once we saw that Kieffer Moore had passed a fitness test we knew it would be a tough test and they (Rotherham) asked a lot of questions of us today.

‘They put balls into the box from every area of the pitch as well as long throws so to keep a clean sheet is a terrific effort from the lads.

‘I thought we started the game terrifically well and scored a lovely goal.

‘We were on the back foot quite a bit in the game and we’ve had to stand up and defend well but we had lots of breaks and opportunities as well.

‘We are delighted with the three points.’
