Rotherham United go to Cheltenham on Saturday and caretaker manager, Steve Thornber has been speaking to MillersWorld about the game.

‘It won’t be a classic,’ Thornber said. ‘You know what you are going to get with a team managed by Martin Allen – I remember going there a couple of years ago and getting battered two-nil. They throw everthing forward and play with a high tempo. They are a big, strong side.

‘But, we have players who can handle that. We’ve got to stand out; we’ve got to be big; we’ve got to be brave. And, we have players in the side who can score goals and I think, if we can keep a clean sheet, we will win the game because they have scored in every game they’ve played this season.

‘If we go there and expect to defend for ninety minutes then we will get beaten. We need to keep the ball and frustrate them. And, if we do that then we will win the game. If we keep giving the ball away then it will just come straight back at us.

‘I think we can pass the ball better than we did last week and we have to defend, to tackle and put our heads in where it hurts.’
