Rotherham United’s latest loanee, Ian Ross from Sheffield United was warned by boss, Mark Robins that he wouldn’t find it easy to get in the first team.

Midfielder Ross arrived last month and so far hasn’t got a game for the Millers but, in an interview recently, he said that he wanted to show both Mark Robins and his manager at Bramall Lane, Bryan Robson what he could do and thought there might be a view to him moving to Millmoor on a permanent deal.

Today, Bryan Robson, speaking to The Star has said that a deal involving Ian and the Millers is not a ‘foregone conclussion.’ He says he wants to assess the players performances and ‘see how Ian does,’ before coming to a decision.

Personally, I think Ian will find it difficult to get into the first team after recent results and performances. On the other hand we have a lot of games coming up between now and January so maybe Mark Robins could be thinking of putting him in for a couple of these – only time will tell I suppose.
