Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, revealed to the Official Site today why he really signed Alex Rhodes from Bradford City.

‘In the Bradford/Rotherham game last season at Valley Parade, Alex Rhodes really tortured us. He gave our defence a torrid time and I thought I’d better go and sign him to prevent him playing against Dale Tonge again!

‘If he’s selected tomorrow I will be looking for the same from him in a Rotherham shirt. Bradford are strong in all departments and they have a good mix of youth and experience. Up front they have the likes of Barry Conlon, Peter Thorne, Michael Boulding and they also have Omar Daley in the wider position and Graeme Lee at the back. Overall they have some very good players and a strong line-up.’
