Rotherham United lost in the first round of the area final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy at Scunthorpe and Millers’ Manager, Mark Robins admitted that his team were second best last night.

Speaking to The Star, Robins said, ‘Sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say the best side won and that was the case last night.

‘I was satisfied with our first half performance last night and we managed to quell their attacks. We had our chances too and I have no qualms about our committment. But, it was tough in the second half. Scunthorpe passed well and their movement was excellent. It was interesting but hard to watch and we didn’t get near them.

‘Having played not particularly well, we have to look back at the chances we created and remember that we still have a glimmer.’
