Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, has had to delve into the loan market for a goalkeeper as a shoulder injury to number two ‘keeper, Steven Cann, will keep him out for some time.

Robins went for England’s under 19 ‘keeper, Jamie Annerson from Sheffield United and he played in the Reserve’s four-two defeat on Tuesday night.

Robins has told RotherFM that he is pleased he has got him and that he wants to thank Sheffield United in their help.

‘He is young, raw, agile, has good hands and stands at six feet two or three,’ Robins said, ‘just what you want in a goalkeeper.

‘I expect him to be pushing Andy Warrington all the way and hope he will get to play in some games for us.’
