Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, thought the home win today against Port Vale was ‘a magnificent performance.’

Speaking to the Official Site, he carried on, ‘Praise must go to the team who played with ten men for around seventy-five minutes. It was pleasing that we managed to restrict Port Vale to just one shot in the entire game and that was right at the end.’

Speaking about Marc Joseph’s red card, Robins said, ‘The referee played a big part in the game which was really disappointing. We seem to be losing players for silly things but I could see the incident was going to happen because we were taking too much time on the ball. Aside from that I was pleased with the display and the fact that it took us up the table.’

Robins then went on to talk about ‘super sub’, Drewe Broughton, ‘If he keeps coming off the bench and scoring, I think I might have to keep him there!’

Mark Burchill limped off before half-time and Robins says, ‘He has a hamstring injury and we will have to see how serious it is in the next twenty-four hours.’
