Rotherham United Manager Mark Robins was disappointed today to lose the last game of the season but had time to congratulate Exeter City and his ex-colleague, Paul Tisdale.

‘Congratulations to Exeter. They were outstanding today,’ Robins told the Official Site. ‘They passed the ball better than us and they deserved to win. It was a disappointing way to end the season.

‘Having watched the promotion scenes with Exeter today we want that to be us next season. We need to make sure we go out and have a real go at it next season.’

Welcoming Stephen Brogan back after his broken leg, his Manager said, ‘it was fantastic to see him back. He didn’t get involved too much but it was important to give him some minutes on the pitch. And we want to congratulate him on all the hard work he’s put in behind the scenes.’

Summing up this season, Robins said, ‘We’ve achieved nearly all the objectives that we set and we had two great cup runs. The players and staff have been magnificent. And I also want to thank the supporters who have followed us to Don Valley.’
