The man in charge of our game on Saturday at Don Valley is …

D Webb from Lancashire

David Webb was in charge of our first visit to the Globe Arena earlier this season where the game ended in a stalemate against Morecambe.

The first game he was in charge of that involved the Millers was in August 2008 when Chester City came to Don Valley. The Millers had a great start when a second minute Alex Rhodes free kick found Drewe Broughton in the area whose header was wildly cleared by City’s defence. The ball fell to Ian Sharps who drove the ball over the line. Twelve minutes later, Reuben Reid smashed the ball past John Danby in Chester’s goal and, although Kevin Ellison, then with Chester, halved the Millers lead on eighteen minutes, when a perfect pass from Jamie Green fell to Rhodes who made it three-one, which is how it ended. That day, Jamie Yates of Rotherham and Chester’s James Vaughan got yellow cards

This season, David has been in charge of twenty-three games and shown sixty-nine yellow cards and four red cards, three of those being in the same game.
