Rotherham United loanee, Callum Kennedy spoke about the late winner for Bradford City against the Millers at Valley Parade last night.

Speaking to MillersPlayer the twenty-one year old, who is on loan from Swindon Town said, ‘Obviously from being at left-back I saw him have the shot and then I went up for the follow up header and, to me, it didn`t appear to have gone over the line. My immediate reaction, when the flag went up, was offside and it appeared most of the players didn`t think it was a goal because everyone just carried on. But, the referee has given it and it`s something we`ve got to deal with and crack on.`

Asked about the free kick that he took in the second half that was pushed onto the crossbar by the Bantams ‘keeper, Callum said, ‘ I don`t mind taking free kicks and it was nice to step up and take it. And, although I didn`t get a corner for it, I thought the goalie had made a good save.

‘I think we gave our all tonight and it was disappointing that we didn`t come away with anything.’

Callum`s first game for the Millers was at Oxford when he was red carded for a tug in the box and he said, ‘Obviously, you want to come on loan to play games and sitting on the sidelines was something I`d been doing with Swindon. But, it was my own doing and luckily I`ve been given the chance to get back into the team and I want to keep my place.

‘I`ve played a few games in this league and I don`t think I`ve seen a better team than Rotherham have got and I definitely think they could get automatic promotion.`

Asked if he`d consider staying longer with the Millers, Callum said, ‘I just want to be playing games so if there are games on the table here then I`d love to stay. I like all the lads and I think play class football. Swindon have got a new manager and I need to speak to him about what his plans are but I`d love to stay here.’
