Rotherham United central-defender, Michael Raynes played most of the game on Saturday at Home Park against Plymouth Argyle with a broken nose.

The twenty-three year old made his league debut for the Millers on Saturday after impressing Scott in the defeat to Leicester City in the Carling Cup.

Speaking to The Star after the four-one win, Millers Manager, Andy Scott revealed that the former Stockport and Scunthorpe player had broken his nose during the first half.

‘He just got on with it,` Scott said, ‘as did Ryan Cresswell who got smashed in the face and had blood all over him.

‘But they are centre-halves who expect to get knocked about. They just carry on so I`m happy for them and quite like that.`
