Rotherham United are almost certain that the match on Saturday, against Wrexham, will go ahead.

After their derby game at Bradford was called off this Saturday the players trained on the pitch at Millmoor and manager, Mark Robins said there wasn’t a problem.

The weather forecast for this coming week looks no different from what it is now and, as The Star says, head groundsman, Bill Corby and his staff will play an important part in the club this week.

The only part of the ground that doesn’t get any winter sun on it is the Railway End – and it is this part of the ground that has caused games to be called off before.

Robins said, ‘We certainly want the game to go ahead and will be doing all we can to ensure it does.’

If the game does fall foul of the weather this Saturday then the next home game isn’t until New Years Day – which means there would only have been gate income for one game in December, and that was the Rochdale game when the crowd was under four thousand.

As yet, there is no news of the re-arranged game at Bradford.
