RUFC – Nicholas red card threat

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, replaced defender, Andy Nicholas at half-time on Saturday at Grimsby Town because he was worried that referee, KD Hill would send him off.

The player was spoken to by the referee in the first minutes of the game and after just eight minutes he was shown a yellow card. Just before half-time he was given a final warning after fouling Jarman again.

Robins told The Star, ‘I changed it because the next mistake or foul and he would have been off.’
