Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said that he was reluctant to put Johnny Mullins on today for his first game since April when the team were doing so badly against Southend at Don Valley this afternoon.

Mullins damaged his knee in training five months ago and has only had seventy minutes playing football since, which was in the reserves on Monday. But, with the Millers already losing four-nil, Scott decided to bring him off the bench on sixty-six minutes.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Scott said, ‘It wasn’t an easy situation to go into but I thought he did well when he came on.

‘We needed someone to shore up the defence because it was getting run ragged by their centre-forwards.’
